Q: How do I order a GeoDataSource subscription package?
A:
You can order a GeoDataSource subscription package by clicking on any of the "Order Now" buttons on the home page. After doing so, you will be directed to the shopping cart. From here, follow the simple steps of the purchase checkout. You will be asked to confirm your order and billing information. When your order has been completed and the billing information has been approved, you will be shown an order summary page with all the details of your plan. For first time customerm, we will issue an account to you upon subscription.

This is more than likely happening because your Internet browser is set to not accept cookies. Q: Once I order a subscription package, how long do I have to wait before it is available to me?
A:
Your subscription plan is available to you, or "activated" immediately after your order has been processed and your billing information has been approved. Please do not use free email account as it will slow down the credit card approval process.

Q: What is the Card Verification Code?
A:
Also known as CVV2 or CVC2, it is a three digit number imprinted on the signature panel on the back of Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards or a four digit number imprinted on the front of the card for American Express. We ask that you include this for your added security and protection from anyone illicitly trying to use your card online.

Q: How do I download the database?
A:
From the "My Account" Area, click on the "Download" button that corresponds to your subscription. After clicking on the "Download" button, you will be prompted to save the data request file (delivered as a zip file) on your hard disk.

A: There is no limit to the number of data requests you can make. You can make as many as you like.

Q: Why won't my entire data request load into Excel?
A:
If you're trying to load a data request file into Excel and you get an error that says "File not loaded completely," this more than likely means that your data request has exceeded the maximum number of columns or rows Excel can handle. You can still click "OK" and see up to 256 columns or 65535 rows worth of data.

In a nutshell, the My Account Area is your gateway to everything we have to offer. Through the My Account Area you'll be able to download databases as well as have access to our numerous data tools. The My Account Area is also where you can edit your sign in password, make changes to your account information, and get all the details on your current subscriptions.

In order to get access to the My Account Area, you must register for GeoDataSource subscription package. If you have logged in, you can click the My Account link from virtually anywhere on the web site and you will be directed to the My Account Area.

A: From the Web site, click on the My Account Link. From here you can update your name, location, email address and other personal information.

From the My Account Area, click on the My Password Link. Enter your old password and then your new password. You'll then be asked to confirm your new password. An email notification will be sent to you indicating that your password has been updated.

If you forgot your password, don't worry. First, click on the My Account link from the GeoDataSource home page. Then click on the Forget Password link. Type in your email address and click Submit button. Your password will automatically be emailed to you.

In order to redistribute GeoDataSource data, you need to purchase a redistribution license. By doing so, you may make unlimited, royalty-free copies of our data for the purpose of being included, enhancing or completing a "commercial," "web" or "compiled" applications. You must also encrypt or password-protect the data in a database (such as Microsoft Access), such that free and/or open access to the raw data is not easily obtained. Reselling the data is strictly prohibited. Please read our license agreement for more details on the use of GeoDataSource data.
